Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is looking for an Inventory Governance Lead to manage the entire inventory process in Singapore. Job Scope:
  • Inventory Governance: Lead the end-to-end inventory management process, including stock levels, replenishment cycles, and data integrity within the ERP system.

  • Stock Optimization: Monitor stock movement patterns to identify slow-moving or obsolete items and provide data-driven recommendations for procurement.

  • Audit & Reconciliation: Organize and oversee regular cycle counts and annual wall-to-wall stocktakes to ensure zero variance between physical stock and system records.

  • Quality & Compliance: Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure all incoming hardware (valves, pipes, etc.) is stored according to industrial safety standards and API/ISO requirements.

  • Reporting: Prepare monthly inventory valuation reports, shortage alerts, and performance KPIs for the management team.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales and Procurement departments to ensure stock availability for urgent project tenders and export shipments.

Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in inventory control, ideally within the Oil & Gas, Marine, or Heavy Engineering industries.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
  • Familiarity with industrial hardware components (valves, fittings, flanges) is a significant advantage.
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical mindset, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse/industrial environment.
