Job description

As an integral part of Infineon’s global corporate strategy, the Strategy and Market Development team focuses on fast-paced Asian markets and Infineon’s presence in key growth markets. We are seeking dynamic and motivated interns to support market and business intelligence research and strategy development activities.

Your Role

• Undertake responsibilities that involve a blend of desk and field research
• Collect, clean and analyze quantitative data to develop critical insights and pragmatic data solutions, and source, scrub and join relevant public, commercial, and proprietary data sources
• Apply your deep technical knowledge of machine learning to identify insights and patterns using traditional as well as predictive and prescriptive analytics
• Design and create advanced predictive models such as support vector machines, neural networks, and decision trees to enable more informed business decisions

Internship Learning Outcomes

• The internship provides a unique opportunity to gain deep insights into the strategy function of a DAX-30 multinational company, with focus on Asia Pacific market segments for semiconductors and electronics
• By the end of the internship, candidates will have worked on a variety of projects, gaining hands-on experience in several areas: project management and collaboration with team members across locations and functions
• Exposure to business intelligence research and data gathering through online and offline sources, including desk research and interactions with various stakeholders
• Exposure to data analysis and correlation with operational and strategic business outcomes

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree student in Business Administration, IT / Computer Science & Computer Engineering, Economics, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint; strong analytical skills
• Able to work independently and proactively
