Job summary

Temasek invites motivated Analytics & AI Interns to join the Internal Audit team in Singapore. You will bridge data analytics and AI with audit insights across business and technology audits, gaining hands-on exposure to modern data clouds and visualization tools.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in data science, analysis and visualisation using SQL, Python and Tableau.
• Experience building AI agents using Copilot Studio, Claude, or Gemini, and developing simple analytics or AI applications (e.g., Streamlit).
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, CS, AI, IS, or related field.

Responsibilities

• AI Innovation: Prototype AI solutions and test AI-powered audit workflows.
• Data Analytics Application & Reporting: Build and maintain data pipelines; work with data platforms to identify trends and risks; develop dashboards with Tableau or Streamlit.
• Business Audit & Technology Audit Support: Support core audits; assist in process walkthroughs and control testing to apply data analytics.

Introduction

Temasek is seeking curious and technically strong Analytics & AI Interns to join our Internal Audit (IA) team. In this role, you will get a front-row seat to how data analytics and AI are reshaping audit workflows, working across business and technology audits to bridge technical execution with audit insight.

Responsibilities

AI Innovation

• Prototype AIsolutionsand test AI-powered workflows to enhance audit processes.
• Apply structured prompt engineering techniques to improve the reliability and accuracy of GenAI outputs.
• Explore andutilizeLarge Language Models (LLMs)to extract insights from unstructured data (e.g., contracts, policies, transcripts).

Data AnalyticsApplication&Reporting

• Assistin building andmaintainingdata pipelines, performing data extractionandtransformationacross structured and unstructured datasetstoidentifytrends, anomalies, and potential risks.
• Work with data platforms (e.g., Snowflake) to strengthen audit coverage and continuous monitoring initiatives.
• Develop andmaintaininteractive visualizations and operational dashboards using tools like Tableau orStreamlit.

BusinessAudit&TechnologyAuditSupport

• Provide ad-hoc support for core business and technology audits to build a foundational understanding ofenterpriserisks and controls.
• Participatein process walkthroughs and control testing to betteridentifyopportunities where dataanalyticsand AI solutions can be applied to traditional audit fieldwork.

Preferred Qualifications

• Able to commit full-time for a minimum of 20 weeks. Interns who are able to commit to a full-time (5 days/week) or a minimum of part-time (4 days/week) internship is strongly preferred.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, AI, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience building AI agents using tools such as Copilot Studio, Claude, or Gemini, and developing simple analytics or AI applications (e.g., Streamlit)
• Proficiency in in data science, analysis and visualisation using SQL, Python and Tableau
• Curious, collaborative team player with a strong sense of ownership and proactiveness. Eager to learn technology and audit methodologies to improve audit processes
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Professional, detail-oriented, and able to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Prior internship experience in data, technology, audit or financial services would be highly advantageous.
