Job summary

The team conducts research on global macro events, policy developments, and cryptocurrencies, supporting daily updates and macro discussions. Responsibilities include developing and backtesting trading strategies and enhancing analytics tools with Python.

Qualifications

• Experience applying Python to data analysis and automation.
• Ability to develop and optimise quantitative trading-related models.
• Familiarity with data visualisation and analytics tooling.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on macro events, policy developments, financial markets and cryptocurrencies.
• Support daily updates and weekly macro discussions materials prep.
• Assist in developing, backtesting and optimising trading strategies and quantitative models.
• Update and improve trading analytics/visualisation tools for the desk.
• Comfortably use AI coding/research assistants to accelerate workflows without compromising live trading accuracy.
• Proficiency with Python for data tasks and automation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on global macroeconomic events, policy developments, financial markets, and cryptocurrencies

• Support the preparation of materials for daily updates and weekly macro discussions
• Assist in developing, backtesting and optimising trading strategies and quantitative models.
• Update and improve trading analytics/visualisation tools for the desk.

• Comfortable using AI coding/research assistants (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) as a working tool — able to prompt effectively, verify output, and use these tools to accelerate workflows without introducing errors into a live trading environment.

• Knowledge of Python for data analysis, automation, and visualisation is preferred.

• Proficiency with Bloomberg Terminal and Microsoft Excel (data analysis, pivot tables, charting) is preferred
