Job summary

The National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) in Singapore is offering a full‑time internship in the Strategic Communications team to support day‑to‑day media monitoring, drafting communications, and assisting with events.

You will help manage media requests, draft internal/external messages, and contribute to national campaigns such as PVPA and CTOG Summit, gaining exposure to stakeholder management and Town Hall planning.

Qualifications

• Full‑time diploma holder or undergraduate, preferably in Marketing/Communications.
• Keen interest in working with diverse stakeholders in the non‑profit environment.
• Have some Digital Marketing background / Interest in Marketing or Marketing Communications / Public Relations work.
• Strong written proficiency in English, added advantage if fluent in another language.
• Good writing and copyediting skills, knowledge in design is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Keeping track of expected coverage and compiling weekly Media Spotlight.
• Assisting in drafting written communication materials for internal and external audiences.
• Assist in media relations and events.
• Support internal/external stakeholder management and virtual/physical events when required.
• Supporting and organising internal Town Halls.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Strategic Communications team oversees the internal and external earned communications for NVPC and ensures alignment of key organisational messages.

The team's key objectives are to garner positive media coverage for NVPC and its programmes and initiatives, position our Leadership Team as thought leaders in the social sector, as well as to cultivate the narrative internally among our staff.

The intern will be assisting the Communications team with day‑to‑day tasks that involve media monitoring, drafting written comms, assisting with events and managing media requests.

The intern may also be exposed to national level media campaigns such as the President's Volunteerism & Philanthropy Awards (PVPA), City of Good (CTOG) Summit and other internal and external communications initiatives, depending on internship period. The intern will also be heavily involved in the planning of internal Town Halls.

Key Deliverables:

• Weekly Media Spotlight report to NVPC staff
• Vetting and drafting internal mailers
• Monthly Heartbeat newsletter to NVPC staff
• 1 to 3 media releases for mainstream Singapore media
• 1 to 3 media queries or requests
• 1 to 2 internal Town Hall

QUALIFICATIONS

• Have some ‘Digital Marketing' background / Interest in Marketing or Marketing Communications / Public Relations work
• Strong written proficiency in English, added advantage if fluent in another language
• Good writing and copyediting skills, knowledge in design is an added advantage
