Project Description

Objective of the Project

Develop a data-driven equipment monitoring framework that leverages engineering data and AI-enabled analytics to identify early indicators of equipment degradation, optimize maintenance strategies, and improve SSD test equipment reliability in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment.

The intern will gain hands‑on exposure to semiconductor manufacturing, equipment engineering, data analytics, automation, and AI‑enabled engineering workflows while working on real‑world manufacturing challenges.

Learning Opportunities

• Understand SSD test manufacturing processes and semiconductor production environments.

• Learn the architecture and operation of automated SSD test equipment platforms.

Skillsets Required

• Fundamental understanding of engineering principles and data analysis concepts.

• Programming knowledge in Python, SQL, or equivalent analytical tools.

• Familiarity with data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Exposure to AI tools, machine learning concepts, or AI‑enabled workflows is advantageous.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross‑functional teams.

Course of Interest

The ideal candidate should be pursuing Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field of study.

Duration of Period

The ideal candidate should be able to commit to a full‑time internship period of 5 months from Jan to May 2027.
