Micron Technology, Inc. in Singapore invites a full-time internship in Fab10 High Volume Manufacturing Photo. You will work on AI-enabled automation to streamline engineering workflows and build Python-based solutions.

You will collaborate with Photo engineers, prototype AI Agents using Generative AI and Large Language Models, and deliver data-driven insights, dashboards, and documentation. The role offers learning across AI, data analytics, and semiconductor manufacturing.

Project Title

AI Agents for High Volume Manufacturing Photo Productivity and Automation

Project Description

High Volume Manufacturing Photo engineers perform engineering activities involving data collection, issue investigation, report generation, action tracking, and knowledge retrieval. This project provides the intern with an opportunity to explore how AI-enabled solutions can streamline selected engineering workflows, generate intelligent insights, and improve operational efficiency. The intern will collaborate with Photo engineers to understand engineering challenges, identify suitable automation opportunities, and develop project-based AI and Python solutions. The intern will also prototype AI Agents for selected use cases involving troubleshooting, workflow management, reporting, knowledge retrieval, and decision-making. Through this project, the intern will gain practical exposure to Artificial Intelligence, Large Language Models, Generative AI, Python automation, data analytics, and semiconductor manufacturing engineering.

Objective of the Project

The objective of this project is to develop and evaluate AI-enabled solutions that improve engineering productivity within Fab10 High Volume Manufacturing Photo. The project will focus on selected use cases where AI Agents and Python automation can reduce manual effort, improve access to engineering knowledge, and enable data-informed decision-making.

Project Scope

• Understand selected High Volume Manufacturing Photo engineering workflows, data sources, and productivity challenges.
• Identify and assess suitable use cases for AI-enabled automation and intelligent knowledge retrieval.
• Develop Python-based automation, analytics, and data-processing solutions for selected project use cases.
• Design and prototype AI Agents using Generative AI and Large Language Model concepts.
• Evaluate the effectiveness, usability, and potential business value of the developed solutions.

Learning Opportunities

Gain exposure to semiconductor manufacturing and Photo process and equipment engineering workflows. Develop practical knowledge of AI Agents, Generative AI, Large Language Models, and AI-enabled ways of working. Strengthen Python programming, data analysis, visualization, and solution-prototyping skills. Learn to communicate technical findings, productivity improvements, and project recommendations to engineering stakeholders.

Deliverables

• An AI Agent prototype for selected engineering productivity or knowledge-retrieval use cases.
• Python automation scripts and relevant data-processing pipelines.
• A dashboard or visualization summarizing productivity improvement metrics and project outcomes.
• Technical documentation covering the solution design, evaluation, and deployment recommendations.
• A final presentation demonstrating the project approach, learning outcomes, and potential business impact.

Impact of the Project

Demonstrate how AI-enabled solutions can improve productivity in selected Photo engineering workflows. Improve the accessibility and use of engineering information for analysis and decision-making. Provide reusable concepts and recommendations that may contribute to broader AI adoption across Fab10 High Volume Manufacturing Photo.

Skillsets Required

• Currently pursuing a degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python programming and familiarity with data processing or analytics libraries.
• Interest in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, Large Language Models, or Agentic AI solutions.
• Experience with data analysis, visualization, and structured problem-solving.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings clearly.

Course of Interest

The ideal candidate should be pursuing a degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field.

Duration of Period

The ideal candidate should be able to commit to a full-time internship period of at least 4 months.
