Job summary

Singapore Red Cross Society seeks an Events & Partnerships Intern to help plan and execute fundraising and community engagement activities in Singapore. This role offers hands-on experience in event management, donor engagement, and volunteer coordination, with collaboration across Marketing, Donor Engagement, and Volunteer Management teams to reach outreach goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordinating fundraising events.
• Provide admin and logistics support including event registration and vendor coordination.
• Support volunteer engagement and liaise with volunteers for events.
• Assist in managing event resources such as donation boxes and marketing materials.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth event delivery.
• Represent Singapore Red Cross at public speaking opportunities, including school talks and hosting events.
• Post-event tasks such as thank-you letters, feedback collation, and simple reporting.

JOB PURPOSE

As part of the Resource Development team, the Events & Partnerships Intern will assist with the planning and execution of fundraising and community engagement activities. This role provides hands-on experience in event management, donor engagement, and volunteer coordination, supporting the Singapore Red Cross in achieving its outreach and fundraising goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in planning and coordinating fundraising events (e.g. Charity Golf, Gala, Grateful Hearts Day (World Red Cross Day) Community Roadshows, Donor/Volunteer Appreciation Events).
• Provide administrative and logistics support including event registration, preparation of materials, and vendor coordination.
• Support volunteer engagement, including liaising with volunteers for events and outreach activities.
• Assist in managing event resources such as donation boxes, merchandise, goodie bags, and marketing materials.
• Work with internal teams (Marketing, Donor Engagement, Volunteer Management) to ensure smooth event delivery.
• Represent Singapore Red Cross through public speaking opportunities, such as:
• Giving short presentations to schools and community groups
• Hosting or assisting emcees during events.
• Speaking on camera for social media or campaign videos
• Help with post-event tasks such as thank-you letters, feedback collation, and simple reporting.
• Any other matters as assigned by Head, Resource Development.

REQUIREMENTS

• Undergraduate/diploma student in Event Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.

• Proficient in design software such as Canva, Illustrator, or Photoshop.
• Knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel
• Keen interest in events, partnerships, and humanitarian causes.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, responsible, and a good team player.
