Job summary

Rakuten Viki in Singapore is seeking undergraduates pursuing a Bachelor's in Computer Science or Computer Engineering for a 12-week data engineering internship. You will gain hands-on experience building reliable data pipelines and supporting real-time analytics as part of the Data Engineering Team.

You should be passionate about learning new technologies, solving engineering problems, and able to commit to a full-time schedule for at least 12 weeks starting soon.

Qualifications

• Undergraduates pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent fields.
• Prior part-time, internship or personal project experience in software engineering will be a plus.
• Passionate about learning new technologies and solving engineering problems.
• Available for at least 12 weeks on a full-time basis with immediate start.

Data Engineering Team Overview

The Data Engineering Team is responsible for enabling business to gain insights and find business opportunities from all its data. We build highly reliable systems and data pipelines that daily ingest terabytes of data from disparate data sources which is then checked for quality, cleaned, standardized, enriched, transformed and modeled to measure the effectiveness and performance of our organization's business processes. We are also responsible for enabling real-time data flows for User Behavior Analytics, CRM, advanced analytics, AI and ML with high uptimes.
