Job summary

WOLA Recruitment Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a diligent Quantity Surveyor to manage cost estimation, budgeting and tender submissions for interior fit-out and carpentry projects. You will perform cost planning, take-offs and supplier sourcing to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma or higher in Quantity Surveying or Building Construction, 3+ years local experience, familiarity with AutoCAD and MS Excel, and strong numerical and communication skills in English

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher qualification in Quantity Surveying, Building Construction or related disciplines.
• More than 3 years of relevant working experience in Singapore's interior fit-out, interior design or joinery/carpentry sector.
• Experience in project cost estimation, quantity take-offs, tender preparation, progress claims and variation orders.
• Familiarity with subcontractor costing, contractual matters and project final accounts.
• Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD and technical drawings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills.
• Meticulous, proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication, teamwork and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin to communicate with Mandarin-speaking business associates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, project budgets and cost plans for commercial and residential interior fit-out and carpentry projects.
• Perform quantity take-offs based on project drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Source subcontractors and suppliers, obtain quotations, evaluate pricing and prepare tender submissions.
• Monitor project costs and manage contractual and commercial matters throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare monthly progress claims and follow up with clients on payment certification.
• Prepare and submit variation claims for changes in project scope and additional works.
• Evaluate subcontractors' progress claims, variation orders and final accounts.
• Prepare cost reports, budgets, financial analyses, contracts and risk assessments.
• Monitor project expenditure and identify potential cost overruns.
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers and clients on cost-related matters.
• Review design changes, assess cost implications and update project budgets accordingly.
• Recommend cost-effective solutions and improvements to project cost management.
