Qualifications

Instrument Control and Electrical Technician (Operation)
Job Description:

The incumbent is part of the ICE team who oversees safe and effective execution of all instrumentation and electrical maintenance services at a Terminal.

Responsibilities
  • Execute preventive and breakdown maintenance for all instrument and electrical equipment in a timely and cost effective manner
  • Perform basic calibration, tuning and troubleshooting activities for process transmitters, control valves, programmable logic controllers, supervisory control and data acquisition, analysers, gas metering flow computer system, tank gauging system, ACMV, Fire and Gas System
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting activities on motors, MCC, transformers and switchgears, variable speed drive, UPS, gas engine generators among others
  • Perform electrical tag out and log out for specific work orders under supervisors instructions
  • Maintain proper PM records performed and update records of all jobs performed in SAP application
  • Provide support on plant modification work such that it is carried out in safely and in accordance to quality standard set by the company
  • The incumbent shall be also be part of the company's Emergency Response Team (CERT) and perform any assigned roles and responsibilities (i.e fire fighter etc) for such purposes.
Experience
  • Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in the oil and petrochemical refinery or power generation industry
  • Familiar with permit to work system, hazardous area classifications and Process Plant Workplace Safety and Health requirement
  • Proficient in usage of Microsoft Office and trained in the use of the CMMS SAP
Education
  • Candidate shall be equipped with professional Certificate/NITEC, Diploma in Engineering (Electrical and Electronics)
  • In addition, the successful candidate should possess the following personal attributes:

  • Willing to take up new challenges and responsibilities
  • Meticulous with good safety mindset and have good analytical problem-solving skills
