Job summary

SFMS in Singapore invites a passionate Physics teacher to join our dynamic academic team. You will report to the Head of Department and shape students' understanding of physics, nurture critical thinking, and support holistic student development through pastoral care and CCA involvement.

The role covers curriculum planning, differentiated instruction, assessments, student progress reporting, and active participation in school committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics from a university.
• PGDE from NIE is a plus.
• At least 3 years of Physics teaching experience.
• Familiar with Singapore-Cambridge O-Level, IGCSE or A‑Level.
• Meticulous and well-organised; good communication with students and parents.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum & Lesson Planning: Develop lessons and Schemes of Work aligned with syllabuses.
• Teaching & Learning: Deliver high‑quality instruction and diverse pedagogical strategies.
• Assessment & Examination: Set, vet, and invigilate tests and exams.
• Student Progress & Reporting: Monitor and document student progress per policies.
• Pastoral, Co-curricular & Committee Involvement: Care teacher; support CCA and committees.
• Administration & Communication: Manage admin duties; maintain professional relationships.
