A leading aerospace MRO provider is seeking a qualified inspector in Singapore to conduct detailed inspections of aerospace components. The role involves ensuring compliance with customer specifications and preparing detailed inspection reports. Candidates should hold a relevant engineering diploma and have significant experience in MRO facilities. This full-time position offers a structured environment with opportunities for growth and development, aligning with industry standards.
Ensure the product to be inspected are sufficiently clean and in acceptable condition to perform the inspections necessary to complete the work instruction.
Receive, inspect and document incoming parts, ensure specification conform to customer Purchase Order. Raise Change Request if new parts are received.
Perform visual and dimensional inspection on aero engine / industrial components in accordance with job instructions and customer specifications and other contractualagreements; prepare accurate reparability inspection reports and Repair Summary Sheets.
Inspect parts received from (OVS) suppliers and ensure conformity to company Purchase Order/ specifications as stated using CMM and /or manual gages required for accurate inspection checks.
Perform final inspection / dispatch inspection.
Prepare, review and inspect documents and repaired parts to certify components for release to service.
Ensure repair work is performed and recorded in a satisfactory manner and in accordance with Part-145 requirements.
Perform duties as required by relevant Quality Notices and Regulations.
Ensure that, there is no deviation from the manufacturer’s maintenance instruction or approved airworthiness data, nor make use of alternative parts, components or assemblies unless such deviation is supported by an Engineering Authorization.
Ensure adequate custody and care of parts, tools and equipment under their responsibility.
Complete and validate non-conformance record / material review board (NCR/MRB) documentation.
Participate in audits, inspections, new product development and continuous improvement programs when required.
Conduct relevant On-The-Job training to maintain their knowledge currency and supervise the work of Quality Inspector trainees in the on-the-job (OJT) process.
Cross train in other complementary skills and seeks endorsements for those skills as needed to support production requirements.
Participate in the cross training of other technicians as needed to support production requirements.
Move between production assignments that utilize multiple skills endorsements as needed to support production requirements.
Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices / conditions.
Solve technical issues and problems where appropriate in daily work.
Carry out other duties as assigned.
