You will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and managing enterprise infrastructure systems to ensure seamless operations across development and testing environments. This role combines hands‑on technical expertise with strategic involvement in bid activities, including infrastructure sizing, deployment topology, and leading technical discussions for customer site deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administration, support, and maintenance for multiple operating systems: Windows, Linux, IBM AIX, Solaris.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain middleware platforms such as IBM WebSphere, IBM MQ, Red Hat JBoss EAP, and Red Hat JBoss A-MQ.
- Install, configure, and manage database servers: IBM DB2, PostgreSQL, MySQL.
- Implement and maintain LDAP servers: IBM Security Directory Server, Apache LDAP.
- Deploy and manage container orchestration platforms: Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
- Perform troubleshooting, patching, and upgrades for OS and middleware components.
- Support bid activities by providing infrastructure sizing, coordinating with cross‑functional teams, and leading technical discussions for deployment planning.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure robust infrastructure design aligned with application architecture (authentication, web servers, databases, messaging servers).
- Develop and maintain Unix Shell scripts for automation and system tasks.
- Explore legacy systems while adopting modern cloud platform services; cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, Red Hat) are a plus.
Requirements:
- 5–8 years of IT experience in infrastructure deployment and administration.
- Strong background in OS and middleware administration.
- Hands‑on experience with containerization technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
- Solid understanding of application architecture and integration points.
- Proficiency in Unix Shell scripting.
- Exposure to cloud platforms and eagerness to learn emerging technologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross‑functional engagement.
