Job summary

UIC Asian Computer Services Pte Ltd seeks an Infrastructure Engineer to support enterprise Microsoft infrastructure, storage systems, and backup environments.

The role covers integration, migration, upgrade, and modernization projects as needed by the business. You will administer Active Directory, Intune, DNS/DHCP, and storage arrays while ensuring high availability and disaster recovery readiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in enterprise infrastructure administration and support.
• Experience supporting Microsoft-based infrastructure environments.
• Experience with virtualization platforms and enterprise storage technologies.
• Experience in backup and recovery administration.
• Experience participating in infrastructure implementation or migration projects.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Administration: Administer and maintain Microsoft server infrastructure environments.
• Storage Administration: Configure and manage storage provisioning and capacity allocation.
• Backup and Recovery Management: Administer Veeam and ensure backup verification.
• Project Delivery: Participate in infrastructure implementation, migration, upgrade projects and documentation.
• Maintenance & Support: Provide operation support, monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents.

JOB SUMMARY

The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for supporting enterprise infrastructure environments including Microsoft Infrastructure, Storage &Backup.

The role may also involve supporting infrastructure integration, migration, upgrade, and modernization projects as required by the business.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Infrastructure Administration

• Administer and maintain Microsoft server infrastructure environments.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS and DHCP services.
• Administer Microsoft Entra Connect synchronization services.
• Manage Microsoft Intune device and endpoint administration.
• Support Microsoft 365 services and user administration.
• Maintain DFS, WSUS and RDS environments.
• Manage Hyper-V virtualization infrastructure.
• Perform system health check sand preventive maintenance activities.

Storage Administration

• Administer enterprise storage platforms including HPE Alletra, HPE MSA, Unity, Power Vault and Synology solutions.
• Configure and manage storage provisioning and capacity allocation.
• Perform storage performance monitoring and optimization.
• Support SAN administration and troubleshooting.
• Manage Fibre Channel SAN connectivity and zoning activities.
• Plan and execute storage upgrades and expansion activities.

Backup and Recovery Management

• Administer and maintain Veeam Backup & Replication environments.
• Perform backup monitoring and reporting.
• Execute backup verification and restoration testing.
• Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures.
• Support disaster recovery planning and recovery exercises.
• Ensure backup policies and retention schedules are implemented and maintained.

Project Delivery

• Participate in infrastructure implementation projects.
• Perform infrastructure installation, configuration, migration and upgrade activities.
• Prepare technical implementation documentation.
• Support testing and deployment activities.
• Conduct knowledge transfer and project handover activities.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality and operational requirements.

Maintenance & Support

• Provide operational support for managed infrastructure environments.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity and availability.
• Troubleshoot system, storage and backup-related incidents.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Support maintenance windows and scheduled activities.
• Escalate complex issues where appropriate.

RERQUIREMENT

Education

• Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related disciplines
• Professional certifications are preferred.

• Experience participating in infrastructure implementation or migration projects.
• Experience in supporting production systems under maintenance contracts or managed services environments is preferred.
