Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a cybersecurity SME within its Infrastructure division in Singapore. You will guide security decisions, designs, and operations across networks, cloud, and on-premise environments.

Responsibilities include conducting penetration testing, managing IDS/SIEM, implementing secure configurations, and driving CIS/NIST/ISO 27001 compliance. Strong communication and cross-team collaboration are essential.

Job description

• Serve as the cybersecurity SME within the Infrastructure division
• Provide security guidance and advisory to infrastructure teams on security decisions, designs, and operations
• Design and implement secure IT infrastructure architecture, including network segmentation, secure configurations, and access controls
• Conduct and coordinate penetration testing and vulnerability assessments across network and infrastructure environments
• Translate assessment findings into actionable remediation plans
• Identify, assess, and remediate vulnerabilities across servers, network devices, and cloud services
• Implement and manage security monitoring tools, including intrusion detection systems and SIEM solutions
• Manage infrastructure user access and privileges using strong authentication and least-privilege principles
• Ensure compliance with CIS benchmarks, NIST guidelines, ISO 27001, relevant regulations, and industry best practices
• Participate in infrastructure security incident response, including analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery
• Implement and manage firewalls, endpoint protection, encryption, and other security technologies
• Secure public cloud environments through configuration management, data encryption, and cloud security best practices
• Promote security awareness and best practices among IT teams and stakeholders

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a security engineering role, focused on infrastructure security, network security, or systems security
• Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) is required
• Hands-on experience conducting network or infrastructure penetration testing, including scoping, execution, and reporting findings to technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to function as a cybersecurity SME and advise technical teams on security matters
• Ability to translate complex security concepts for non-technical stakeholders
• Additional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, CCSP, or equivalent are advantageous
• Proficiency in network security, system security, cloud security, and infrastructure security best practices
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, VPNs, endpoint security, and encryption
• Experience with SIEM solutions, vulnerability scanners, penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Nmap, and Burp Suite, and security monitoring systems
• Familiarity with risk assessment and risk management principles
• Working knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, CIS benchmarks, and relevant compliance requirements
• Experience securing public cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
