Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end middleware support and operations for complex banking applications handling critical customer authentication, payment processing, and account services.
  • Manage and maintain 50+ high-availability environments including SIT, UAT, NFT, and PROD, ensuring consistent configurations and zero-downtime transitions.
  • Administer Weblogic, JBoss, and Websphere MQ application servers — including instance management, patching, log analysis, heap tuning, and certificate renewals.
  • Handle SSL/TLS configurations, certificate lifecycle management (Apache, iPlanet, JBoss), and secure file transfer setup (SSH, SCP, SFTP).
  • Coordinate across Unix, Database, and Application teams for infrastructure patching, server hardening, and environment builds.
  • Troubleshoot complex middleware and application issues using thread/core dumps, JVM diagnostics, and platform-specific tools.
  • Design and implement platform migration strategies, environment replication, and cross-system integrations.
  • Ensure full compliance with financial regulations and security protocols, including traceability of file transfers and transaction integrity across systems.
  • Actively monitor and maintain system health across Solaris, Linux, and legacy Windows servers.
  • Collaborate with release management and deployment teams to support safe go-lives in production and pre-prod environments.

Requirements:

  • 13+ years of IT infrastructure and system operations experience, including minimum 10+ years in middleware support roles.
  • Deep expertise in Weblogic Server administration (9.x–12c) in clustered, high-transaction environments.
  • Solid working experience with Websphere MQ, JBoss, Apache, and iPlanet.
  • Strong command-line and scripting skills on Unix (Solaris/Linux) for diagnostics and automation.
  • Proven track record supporting critical production applications in the banking and financial sector especially payment gateways, transaction processors, or account servicing platforms.
  • Demonstrated capability in SSL certificate management, WebServer-to-AppServer security configurations, and performance tuning.
  • Experience handling environment replication, migration, and application onboarding across environments.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring tools, server health checks, and proactive incident management in 24/7 environments
