Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated BMS Manager with a strong foundation in BMS system, IT system, Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to lead the integration of intelligent technologies into our building systems. This role will focus on optimizing BMS Projects, Improvement works, predictive maintenance, and enhancing system automation through data-driven insights.

Job Requirements
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) of a specific trade.
  • Take the lead in driving and promoting best practices, fostering innovation and developing expertise in specific trades and areas with the aim to achieve operational excellence, alignment of technical standards, support strategic goals and drive continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Design and development of new systems, and/or enhancement of existing systems to improve reliability and maintain sustainability.
  • Conduct of research to drive innovation and improve existing products, processes and life expectancy.
  • Development and optimization of processes for efficiency, cost-effectiveness and maintenance optimization.
  • Oversee engineering enhancement projects from planning, technical execution, on-time delivery and management of cost within budget.
  • Propose and provide technical advice to operation to maintain infrastructure, machinery and equipment to ensure reliable and safe operations.
  • Oversee or assist in the installation of BMS hardware and software.
  • Perform pre- and post-commissioning checks to ensure system functionality.
  • Monitor system performance and conduct diagnostics.
  • Identify and resolve faults, update software, and optimize energy usage.
  • Recommend and implement system upgrades or replacements.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives for smart building technologies.
  • Evaluate and implement IoT devices and edge computing solutions.
  • Explore ways to reduce operational costs while maintaining quality and performance.
  • Provide post-project support, including troubleshooting, operational optimization, installation and training.
  • Continuously seek improvements in products, processes and technologies to stay ahead in the market.
  • Work with other sections/departments to ensure alignment with organizational & project goals.
  • Ensure that engineering practices adhere to environmental laws, safety standards and Singapore Standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all authorities, security and safety regulations.
  • Ensure the team’s compliance with all established work processes.
  • Management both internal and external engagements.
  • Be involved in both CAPEX and OPEX budget planning to meet Engineering needs.
  • Drive operational effectiveness and efficiencies improvement through regular review of standard operating procedures, work instructions, work processes and systems technologies.
  • Regularly review operation related risks and put in place appropriate mitigation controls.
  • Ensure works done for outsourced contracts are verified before completion of receiving function for payment processing.
  • When necessary, support other teams in crisis management.
Required Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience in Instrumental & Control, facilities system design and management.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in large commercial establishments, with a strong background in operation, maintenance, engineering, and project management of building services and facilities.
  • Proficient in DDC or PLC control system, P&ID, programming and SCADA.
Skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and customer service skills with attention to details.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills, multi-tasking and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in building automation technologies and protocols (eg BACnet, Modbus).
  • Certification in Niagara N4 will be an advantage.
  • Technical background in related facilities equipment and relevant experience with (BMS, ACMV, pumps, Hot Water, Ejector system, Lighting, Fire Alarm, PA, Fire Protection, VESDA, ESCS, Lift and Escalator, etc) maintenance and service quality mindset.
  • Broad- based experience of computer systems and MSOffice suites to include MSWord, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Team player and ability to promote cross functional collaboration.
