Singapore Airlines is seeking an experienced Ops Commander Lead – DevOps, ITSM &Compliance to oversee high-impact operational incidents, with a primary focus on ensuring compliance. This role is critical in maintaining regulatory standards, security compliance, and driving continuous improvements in IT service management and operational performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, including expertise in cloud infrastructure, DevOps tools, and security protocols, along with solid analytical abilities and a deep understanding of security principles. A proven track record of working collaboratively across teams is essential. You will take the lead in compliance governance initiatives while also managing critical incidents and enhancing operational efficiency throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Critical Incident Command & Operational Leadership
    • Take full ownership of high-impact operational incidents, especially those related to cybersecurity. You will act as the incident commander, leading coordination, rapid escalation, and resolution efforts to minimize disruption and restore operations as quickly as possible.
    • Review and analyze high-risk security vulnerabilities identified through scans, threat intelligence, or external reports, and work closely with the Information Security team to ensure timely remediation.
    • Serve as a liaison between the Information Security team and operational stakeholders to ensure prompt remediation of vulnerabilities.
  2. Stakeholder Communication & Reporting
    • Maintain clear and transparent communication with senior leadership and key stakeholders during and after critical incidents by providing timely updates on incident status, resolution progress, and compliance adherence.
    • Facilitating briefings to keep leadership informed on risk status and operational readiness.
  3. Compliance Monitoring & Regulatory Adherence
    • Ensure all IT services, infrastructure, and operations comply with industry regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, GDPR). Lead efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across DevOps and ITSM processes.
    • Maintain a robust compliance framework, ensuring regular audits, assessments, and timely reporting.
    • Conduct assessments of systems, networks, and applications to verify compliance with security policies and standards.
    • Review configurations, security controls, and access management practices to identify non-compliance and escalate critical issues for prompt resolution.
  4. Collaboration, Cross-functional Communication & Continuous Improvement
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, automation, and compliance controls.
    • Identify and implement opportunities to optimize IT operations and ensure alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
    • Lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, incident readiness, and communication across teams.
    • Foster a high-performance culture by mentoring teams, promoting collaboration, and championing continuous growth and skill development to build a resilient workforce capable of handling complex challenges.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced certifications in ITSM (e.g., ITIL), DevOps (e.g., AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes), or Compliance (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR) are highly preferred.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role overseeing DevOps, ITSM, and compliance functions.
  • Extensive experience in ITIL frameworks (incident, problem, change management) and practical knowledge of DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD).
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance in the aviation, finance, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Proven track record of driving automation and process improvements in IT operations and software delivery.
