Job summary

The National University of Singapore invites applications for a research position in the Signature Research Programme in Emerging Infectious Diseases. The successful candidate will study Influenza A biology and pathogenesis under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.

Responsibilities include planning, organizing and conducting studies; monitoring and reporting results; assisting with data analysis and literature reviews; maintaining lab safety and procedures; and supporting ongoing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Bioinformatics or related fields.
• Basic knowledge and technical expertise in cell culture, biochemistry and molecular biology research.
• Experience with animal work (rodents) and RCULA certification advantageous.
• Basic routine laboratory skills, including biosafety.
• Interpersonal, written and oral communication and computer skills.
• Strong team player, open-minded, independent, highly motivated and able to collaborate in an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks and support all aspects of the research project.
• Monitor, document and report experimental results and findings.
• Assist researchers in data analysis and literature review in various projects.
• Assist with general upkeep of laboratory needs, maintain safety protocols, provide technical support, and establish procedures.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described therein.
