Job description
Overview

Your main job responsibility is to develop and plan early childhood programmes for the children in the centre.

Support the learning and development of infants and toddlers through interactive and stimulating experiences.

Responsible for implementing and execution of classroom and outdoor activities and ensuring a safe, conducive learning environment for the children.

Responsibilities
  • Complete lesson evaluations / reflection. Communicate with families on their child's progress and development.
  • Maintain proper children's records and prepare child's portfolio for Parent Teacher Meeting (PTM).
  • Maintain record keeping for centre\'s operation purpose - audit, licensing, tracking, monitoring. Active participation and sharing of ideas, suggestions, learning, concerns and challenges during meetings.
  • Provide coverage duties for staff on leave and other adhoc duties. Plan and carry out events, excursions, workshops, collaborations with community etc.
Qualifications
  • Must have attained Certificate in Infant/Toddler Care and Development (CIT) / Higher Certificate in Infant Care (HCIC) / Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACEY).
  • Registered with Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA).
  • Have a valid certificate in first aid recognised by ECDA.
  • Preferably have infant care experience in a pre-school setting.
  • Demonstrate good communication skills.
  • Adequate knowledge of current early childhood care and education development theories, research and practices possess classroom management skills and able to handle children's temperaments.
  • Possess the necessary skills to plan, execute and evaluate appropriate developmental lessons.
