ST SEMICONDUCTOR TESTING PTE. LTD. is seeking a software engineer to develop and maintain control software for industrial machines using C#/.NET and C++. You will work on motion control, host communication, and vision integration, collaborating with cross-functional teams on bring-up and debugging.

You will contribute to a shared software platform across multiple machines, promote code reuse, and support multi-language UI (English and Chinese).

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of software development for industrial machinery or semiconductor equipment.
  • Proficient in C# and C++, with primary focus on C# for daily work.
  • Strong OO design, multithreading, and event-driven architectures.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain handler control software in C# & C++, including machine sequences and operator GUI.
  • Contribute to a common software platform across multiple machines to promote code reuse.
  • Integrate motion control systems using EtherCAT and TwinCAT protocols for precise movement.
  • Implement host communication protocols using SECS/GEM for reliable data exchange.
  • Integrate vision systems and third-party equipment via APIs to enhance capabilities.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, vision, and process engineers on bring-up and debugging.
  • Write clean, documented, and testable code; participate in reviews and releases.
