Job Scope

Responsible for overseeing all legal matters of the company, and provide comprehensive legal support to the management by:

  • Draft and review English contracts proficiently, especially licensing agreements, supply agreements, etc. related to trading of biosimilar medicines.
  • Provide senior management legal advice on strategic decisions
  • Understand the objectives of the business and effectively communicate with the management the potential legal risks and issues involved in company's daily operations and decision-making processes
  • Advice on regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and risk management
  • Assist to establish company's internal risk prevention/management framework and procedures
  • Effectively negotiate the terms of the English agreement with the counterparties (affiliate companies with other shareholders, as well as supplier, etc.)
  • Offer legal solutions that are suitable for the company’s each project needs
  • In case of a possible legal dispute, understand the pressure points, suggest strategical advice to the management to win the case
  • Prepare board/shareholder meeting minutes, create English records, and urge all signatories to sign
  • Coordinate with external law firms regarding contract drafting and serve as a liaison for the company's external law firms
  • Coordinate other contractual affairs
  • Maintain and update legal documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Liaise with HQ in China and affiliated companies in U.S. and Europe, to ensure alignment and seamless workflows of legal matters
  • Perform any other legal related work assigned by the superior and management.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree or other equivalent professional qualifications; Certification in law or related areas is preferred.
  • Has passed Singapore Bar.
  • Familiarity with Singapore local laws and regulations, especially those related to trading transactions, as well as local company compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of international trading contract clauses.
  • Good command of writing and speaking in both Mandarin and English is a must.
  • Proven experience (5 years+ relevant experiences), especially in contract negotiations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills; Strong presentation and communication skills, ability to interact confidently with senior management and various stakeholders.
  • Good Logic, meticulous and well-organised; Strong time management skills.
  • Good work attitude and willingness to contribute; Self-starter, Self-motivated and as well as an effective team player
