Job summary

SSMC in Singapore is seeking an Engineer/Senior Engineer for the Diffusion (Implant) department. You will establish systems to sustain equipment performance and coordinate the Equipment Group across shifts to meet production goals.

The role requires MSc/BE in relevant engineering plus 2–5 years in wafer fab operations with diffusion/RTP, ion-implant or WET experience; field service experience of 5+ years may be considered. Strong communication and project management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• MSc/BE in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Mechatronics.
• 2–5 years wafer fab ops experience in Diffusion/RTP, Ion-Implant or WET.
• 5+ years Field Service experience may be considered.
• Expert wafer fabrication equipment/process knowledge.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Ability to lead 8-D teams in problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Establish systems to sustain and improve equipment performance indices.
• Coordinate Equipment Group activities across shifts.
• Handle multiple equipment types in the diffusion/implant area.
• Initiate and lead short-term problem solving and long-term CI.
• Perform shift duties to support production as required.
• Explore opportunities to improve COO, cycle time and reliability.
• Lead CIT projects to set and achieve goals.
• Establish guidelines for intra/inter-department activities.
• Manage vendors to meet KPI and SRS goals.
• Forecast stock levels of spares and consumables.
• Train and certify equipment engineers/AE’s.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety in the work area.

What you will be working on:

• To establish systems/guidance in sustenance and improvement of equipment performance indices to meet/ exceed operations goals


• Coordinator for Equipment Group


• Versatile in handling various equipment types


• Initiate, organize and lead taskforce for short term problem solving and long-term continuous improvement


• Perform shift duties to support production as requested


• Explore opportunity to improve COO, cycle time and Equipment reliability


• Lead/ facilitate CIT projects to set and achieve goals


• Establish systems and guidelines for intra/ inter-department activities


• Manage/ drive vendors performance to meet/ exceed equipment KPI, and SRS goals


• Forecast/establish stock levels of spares and consumables to meet capacity demand, ensure equipment expenditures within budget forecast


• Train and certify equipment Engineers/ AE’s


• Ensure good housekeeping and safety practices in the work area

More about you:

• MSc/Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent


• 2-5years semiconductor wafer fab operational experience with technical expertise in Diffusion/ RTP, Ion-Implant or WET experience


• Relevant Field Service experience of over 5 years may also be considered


• Expert semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment/ process knowledge


• Team performance management knowledge


• Good communication, presentation and project management skills


• Lead/ facilitate 8-D team in solving problems
