Job summary

STAFFKING PTE. LTD. is seeking an Early Childhood educator to implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum and adapt teaching methods for diverse learners.

You will work with small groups, create engaging learning corners, and maintain a safe classroom environment in Islandwide Singapore. The role requires ECDA L2 certification, a Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education - Teaching, and at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Must ECDA L2 certified.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in early childhood education.
• Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education - Teaching.

Responsibilities

• Help design and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit children's varying needs and abilities.
• Work with small groups to teach specific skills.
• Create teaching aids and set up engaging learning corners.
• Maintain a safe, stimulating, and age-appropriate classroom.
• Regularly rotate toys, books, and display materials based on the curriculum.
• Promote respectful behavior and maintain classroom discipline.
• Interact with children in a positive and respectful manner.
• Encourage social and emotional development through appropriate communication.
• Keep parents informed about their child’s progress through meetings, portfolios, and communication books.
• Arrange and participate in formal and informal parent-teacher interactions as needed.

Job Description & Responsibility:

• Clean toys fortnightly and keep the classroom visually updated.


• Promote respectful behavior and maintain classroom discipline.


• Interact with children in a positive and respectful manner.


• Encourage social and emotional development through appropriate communication.


• Keep parents informed about their child's progress through meetings, portfolios, and communication books.


• Arrange and participate in formal and informal parent-teacher interactions as needed.


• Uphold a professional code of conduct in appearance and communication.


• Cooperate with colleagues and maintain respectful relationships with staff and families.


• Participate in all school activities and perform duties assigned by supervisors.
