Job description

IMI CIB - Accounting & Regulatory Reporting Senior Officer

Location: Singapore, SG

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, payments and passing entries as checker or preparer
• Process staff claims and passing entries as checker or preparer
• Ensure that tax requirements (mainly GST, GST reverse charge and withholding tax) are complied with for payments
• Quarterly GST submission
• Work closely with consultant and co‑ordinate with other relevant departments to facilitate annual GST ACAP review
• As checker for monthly movement report on Sundry, accruals and pre‑payments accounts and reconciliation to GL
• In charge of expenses, including monthly variance analysis, provide answers to queries from Management, Head Office, Auditors, and so on
• In charge of IFRS 16 Lease Accounting using the TAGETIK system
• In charge of Fixed Asset Register and Schedules
• In charge of daily nostro reconciliation, as checker or preparer
• Prepare audit confirmations
• Check daily exception reports and investigate and clear errors
• Head Office reporting as checker or preparer
• Participate in systems upgrade and process improvement activities

Other

• Participate in month‑end closing activities
• Post or check accounting entries
• Prepare or cover daily and month end MAS reports
• Preparation of schedules for year‑end financial statement and tax computation
• Liaise with internal and external auditors and tax agents
• Handle ad‑hoc assignments by Head of Department

Required Experience

3-5 years of relevant experience in bank accounting.

Experience in Accounts Payable processing, GST and GST‑reverse charge, withholding tax and nostro reconciliation is preferred.

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, ACCA or other equivalent accounting qualifications
• High proficiency in English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel
• Analytical mind‑set in system development & automation process
• Strong interest in tasks of the Accounting Department
