Job description

​The Job

• Uphold Company Operational Excellence (OE) standards
• Demonstrate visible safety leadership in the field daily, drive proactive hazard recognition, Review Risk Assessment in the field, ensure mitigation measures are followed, and achieve zero injuries for employees and contractors in charge.
• Provide engineering services on IEC equipment design, maintenance, and reliability. This includes capital & expense projects covering equipment selection, specifications preparation, tendering and evaluation, installation, construction, testing and commissioning.
• Serves as subject matter expert for Electrical System, Emergency Shutdown (Instrumentation), Distributed Control System (DCS), Safety Instrumented System (SIS) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programs in the plant.
• Participate in Plant’s reliability improvement program to investigate equipment failure identify root causes, institute preventive measures, and implement permanent solutions to equipment problems.
• Responsible to reduce the likelihood of experiencing high consequences Process Safety Event while continuously improving reliability & plant availability with focus on IEC equipment.
• Perform weekend and emergency maintenance supervisory duty.
• Provide technical support to other departments where required.

​Qualifications/Skills

• Minimum Polytechnic diploma in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering.
• At least 6 years of relevant plant experience in petrochemical or process industry
• Competency in SAP, MS Office, Process Data Historian
• Hands on field experience with troubleshooting in a downstream chemical production environment
• Ability to understand Electrical Single Line Diagram, Control Drawing, Loop Drawing, Ladder Logic and other related drawings
• Experience with Quality Measurement System is an advantage.
