R&D Ice Cream Unit

We are a small team of around 10 people, responsible for developing new ice cream products for markets out of Asia, North America and Latin America regions. The responsibilities for this R&D team comprise supporting markets and business units in front-end innovation work, product development and project management for launches, as well as technical support in sensory profiling and other engineering and manufacturing assistance.

Traineeship Description

The trainee will have an exposure to the end-to-end innovation process that the R&D Ice Cream unit undertakes.

Specific Responsibilities
  1. Front-end Innovation

    Understanding the landscape of ice cream through research (desktop and in-field). This will include learning about the ice cream category, adjacent categories, as well as the market landscape that we operate in. There will also be in-field research to understand the ice cream category

    Exposure to consumer research to learn more about consumer behavior and attitudes towards ice cream, via social listening and specific consumer researches

    Organizing and participating in front-end innovation workshops, as well as related work such as crafting concepts and running concept tests

    Learning about ice cream by organizing and creating new online training modules for ice cream

  2. Innovation Process towards Market Implementation

    Participating in projects where new innovations are developed in collaboration with markets

    Engaging in simple project management duties such as stakeholder engagement, timeline management

Qualifications

Degree or background in marketing/ business/ innovation-related studies or work experience would be ideal.

Eligibility Criteria
  • a. Singapore Citizens (SCs) and Permanent Residents (PRs); and
  • b. this includes male individuals who have completed National Service in CY2024 and CY2025.
