Job summary

Nexus International School (Singapore) invites applications for a Primary School Teacher and PYP Coordinator. The role combines classroom teaching with pedagogical leadership to support the PYP curriculum across primary cohorts.

Collaborate with year-group teams and other curriculum leaders, facilitate inquiry, and promote international-mindedness while guiding staff through planning and program implementation.

Qualifications

• Degree plus teaching qualification (or equivalent).
• Higher degree or recognised professional qualification (preferred).
• Evidence of continued professional development, including significant IB training.
• Experience with teaching PYP (5+ years preferred).
• Experience in teaching learners with diverse needs, especially EAL.
• Understanding of all PYP publications.
• Practical and theoretical understanding of effective learning and teaching strategies.

Responsibilities

• Support IB programme implementation within the Primary School.
• Facilitate PYP planning meetings and collaboration between year groups.
• Provide guidance to staff on PDPs and school strategic development.
• Assist in documentation for evaluation and school communications.
• Promote MyIB usage and support whole-school events related to the programme.
