DB trades all currencies, including G10, Emerging Markets and Metals, in all tenors. Working in a period of economic and regulatory uncertainty, the team places emphasis on innovation, collaboration and risk management. The Global Foreign Exchange (GFX) business is looking to hire a senior risk‑manager for Metals in Singapore. The person will be an integral part of the Global Foreign Exchange business in Asia Pacific.

Your key responsibilities

As a Senior Metals Trader you will be responsible for :

  • Directing and risk‑managing the DB Physical Precious Metals portfolio
  • Developing the bank’s global capabilities in physical precious metals
  • Growing the physical metals franchise at a global level
  • Work alongside voice traders to quote the bank’s franchise in the region across a wide range of currencies and products, providing competitive pricing for clients in collaboration with traders in other locations
  • Identify and nurture new opportunities and relationships with institutional and corporate clients
  • Working closely with sales, structuring and clients to build and expand the physical franchise with institutional and corporate clients
Your skills and experience

To be successful in this role you will have :

  • Minimum 10 years of prior work experience in Metals Trading
  • Experience of pricing and managing Precious Metals Basis, physical and Forward risk
  • Have a strong knowledge base of nuances of the physical market
  • A thorough knowledge of the various products traded in the Spot, Forwards and physical markets
  • Strong understanding of market structure and existing relationships with participants and stakeholders (clients, exchanges, regulators etc) across Asia Pacific
  • Commercial focus, ability to take initiatives, and skills to solve complex business problems
  • Ability to articulate ideas confidently and concisely.
  • Team Player
  • Role is required to be performed on‑site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirements may apply.
