Job summary

OWIS, Singapore, invites qualified teachers to join its international programme, delivering differentiated, inquiry-based Japanese lessons across Secondary and IB Diploma levels.

You will collaborate with colleagues to design engaging activities, assess progress, and communicate outcomes to students and parents through reports.

Applicants should have at least two years of full-time teaching, a teaching degree and recognized qualifications, and strong English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of relevant full-time teaching experience as a qualified teacher.
• Bachelor’s degree and a Professional Degree in Teaching or equivalent teaching qualification certificates (PGDE, PGCE, PGCEi, NIE Diploma), Valid Teacher License, or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong knowledge and proven experience teaching Japanese at Secondary, IGCSE, and IB levels
• High proficiency in spoken and written English to effectively deliver curriculum and communicate with stakeholders
• As we are expanding rapidly we are looking for some highly motivated and passionate teachers

Responsibilities

• Deliver Japanese lessons across Secondary and IB Diploma
• Collaborate on differentiated lesson plans and assessments
• Assess progress with formative and summative evaluations
• Uphold IB Learner Profile and school values in teaching and interactions
• Participate in extracurricular activities and school events
• Ensure health, safety, and wellbeing of students
• Teach across Secondary, IGCSE and IB curricula
