Job summary

SHANGHAI TUNNEL ENGINEERING CO (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD is seeking an experienced diver for saturation and hyperbaric operations. The role involves performing complex subsea works, including TBM cutterhead intervention and structural repairs, under strict safety protocols.

The candidate should hold ADCI Bell/Saturation Diver or equivalent IMCA-recognised certification, with at least four years of commercial diving experience and proven ability to work in high-pressure environments.

Qualifications

• Certification in commercial diving/saturation diving (ADCI/IMCA) where applicable.
• Valid diving medical certificate confirming fitness for saturation/bell diving operations.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant commercial diving experience, saturation/hyperbaric focus.
• Experience in civil tunnelling, TBM intervention, marine construction or subsea works is advantageous.
• Practical knowledge in underwater cutting/burning, welding, rigging and TBM cutterhead intervention.
• Diving safety training and CPR/First Aid where required.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialised subsea and hyperbaric diving works under saturation or compressed-air conditions.
• Operate and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, cutting and underwater welding equipment in hyperbaric and subsea environments.
• Conduct structural inspections and ultrasonic thickness measurements in high-pressure environments.
• Follow Dive Plans, compression/decompression procedures and safety requirements.
• Support the diving team in TBM intervention and other subsea works.
• Report equipment issues and progress to the Diving Supervisor.

Revised Job Description & Core Responsibilities

• Perform specialised subsea and hyperbaric diving works under saturation or compressed-air conditions, including TBM cutterhead inspection, disc cutter replacement, underwater welding and structural repairs.
• Operate and maintain relevant hydraulic, pneumatic, cutting and underwater welding equipment in hyperbaric and subsea environments.
• Conduct structural inspections, ultrasonic thickness measurements and debris removal in confined and high-pressure working environments.
• Follow approved compression and decompression procedures, Dive Plans and safety requirements under the direction of the Diving Supervisor.
• Support the diving team in the safe and efficient execution of TBM intervention and other subsea works.
• Report equipment issues, unsafe conditions and work progress to the Diving Supervisor.

Job Requirements

Relevant commercial diving / saturation diving certification, such as ADCI Bell/Saturation Diver or IMCA-recognised Saturation Diver certification, where applicable to the scope of work.

Valid Diving Medical / Commercial Diver Medical Certificate confirming fitness for saturation/bell diving operations, as required.

Minimum 4 years of relevant commercial diving experience, with practical experience in saturation or hyperbaric diving operations.

Experience in civil tunnelling, TBM intervention, marine construction or subsea works will be an advantage.

Practical knowledge and experience in underwater cutting/burning, welding, rigging and TBM cutterhead intervention.

Valid DMT / relevant diving medical emergency training and First Aid / CPR certification, where required for the role.

Good safety awareness, teamwork, communication and ability to work in high-pressure environments.
