Job summary

Canopius Singapore is seeking an experienced Credit Controller Lead to oversee financial technical accounting for premiums and claims, ensuring timely collections and accurate reporting to management and London. You will lead a regional team across Singapore, Australia, and London, driving robust credit controls and efficient processes.

The role emphasizes strong Excel skills, familiarity with SUN accounting and policy administration systems, and experience in both AR/AP and cash accounting in

Qualifications

• Knowledge or experience in Direct and Facultative Insurance classes of business.
• Knowledge in Lloyd’s business and operations would be advantageous.
• Experience in accounts receivable and payable, bank reconciliations and cash accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversees timely and accurate allocation of premiums and claims.
• Coordinate signings and Subscribe bookings with Finance to validate booked premium.
• Prepare internal technical reports such as monthly written and paid premium/claims bordereau to London.
• Lead the team of Credit Controllers, ensuring high standards of accuracy and efficiency on credit control matters.
• Build strong processes to ensure smooth communication between Singapore, Australia and London offices.
• Coach and develop a high-performing team; set clear objectives and cadence.
• Support Management on any ad hoc duties.
