Amazon Asia-Pacific Resources Private Limited (Singapore) is seeking a motivated intern for the Data Center Sourcing & Procurement team. The internship offers hands-on experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and Data Center infrastructure development within AWS.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor or higher in Engineering, Commerce, or Business Administration, with interest in procurement and strong analytical, communication, and MS Office skills.

• Assist internal stakeholders in understanding supplier capabilities and service requirements
• Support supplier selection process, RFQ/RFP preparation and analysis
• Develop tracking mechanisms and metrics for supplier performance
• Participate in supplier business reviews and performance discussions
• Assist with bid analysis, rate card reviews, and cost comparison
• Support process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to automate or streamline procurement workflows
• Learn and apply procurement governance, procedures, and policies
• Conduct market research and supplier analysis to support sourcing decisions

Amazon is looking for a motivated, customer-obsessed and open-minded procurement intern to work within our Data Center Sourcing & Procurement team based in Singapore. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in the Data Center industry, working alongside AWS infrastructure teams and vendors across the Asia region. Our team sources, selects, contracts and manages third party services/equipment/material vendors for AWS, to build and launch Data Centers and Energy/Water infrastructure worldwide safely, securely, on time and at lowest cost.

The ideal candidate is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and able to support multiple initiatives simultaneously. You should be collaborative, analytical, and demonstrate strong curiosity about procurement processes. This is an excellent opportunity to develop foundational skills in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and data center infrastructure development.

We welcome candidates from various backgrounds including engineering, Quantity Surveying (QS), Supply Chain, business, commerce, or other vendor‑facing roles who are eager to learn and build career in infrastructure procurement.

Key job responsibilities

• Assist internal stakeholders in understanding supplier capabilities and service requirements
• Support the supplier selection process, including RFQ/RFP preparation and analysis
• Help develop tracking mechanisms and metrics for supplier performance (on‑time delivery, safety, quality, cost)
• Participate in supplier business reviews and performance discussions
• Assist with bid analysis, rate card reviews, and cost comparison activities
• Support process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to automate or streamline procurement workflows
• Learn and apply procurement governance, procedures, and policies
• Conduct market research and supplier analysis to support sourcing decisions

Basic Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in school for bachelor or above degree in Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field , graduating between Aug 2027 – Aug 2028
• Interest and background in Procurement, supply chain, or vendor management through coursework, projects, or prior work experience
• Excellent business and communication skills, high attention to detail
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also taking initiative on assigned tasks
• Candidates must be able to legally work in Singapore.
• Able to commit full-time internship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to data centers, engineering, infrastructure services, or technology companies through internships or academic projects
• Familiarity with procurement processes such as RFQ/RFP management, supplier evaluation, contract review or Quantity Surveying (QS)
• Interest in market intelligence, commodity trends, or supplier performance analysis
• Conversational proficiency in Mandarin or other regional languages
