Job description

Responsibilities

• When the project is confirmed, help the engineering manager oversee the engineering and design aspects. Design is carried out based on the Technical Agreement/Specification, GA, Contract Requirement, and Scope of Supply, among other factors, through contract review.
• To create drawings, coordinate with the purchasing, production, and engineering departments.
• Drafting the drawing and submitting it for approval; communicating with the customer or class regarding the technical details to complete the design.
• Create a working plan based on feedback and comments, taking into account all comments, and help the purchasing department with material requests for clarification or approval.
• Create a test protocol based on the Commissioning Engineer's design output and submit it for approval. Furthermore produce the "Final Drawings" and instruction manual for submission.
• Conduct product inspections, oversee the quality of products to ensure they meet standards, issue non-conformance reports for irregularities, and help with rectification.
• Look for ways to make the production process, equipment, and products function better.
• Participate in site meetings and inspections to confirm that the production team is carrying out the work as planned and to offer solutions for challenging site issues.
• Coordinate with the GM and the production department regarding the standard product range and the detailed design of every in-house product.

Requirements

• Minimum Degree in Mechanical / Marine Engineering / Offshore / Naval Architecture
• At least 5-8 years experience in engineering design on HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning) system
• Interest to work in shipyard
• Experienced in working HVAC turnkey contractor, HVAC equipment supplier, Shipyard HVAC related department
• Past experience with Shipyard / Marine industry is highly advantageous
