A leading engineering firm in Singapore is looking for an HVAC Engineer to provide engineering services for HVAC systems including project tendering and design conceptualization. The ideal candidate will manage multiple projects, perform HVAC calculations, generate layouts and shop drawings, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Carrier HAP software is essential for this role. Candidates should have a strong background in HVAC engineering and design processes.

Qualifications

Job Description:

Provides engineering service for HVAC such as HVAC project tendering, HVAC design conceptualization, drafting HVAC datasheets, HVAC design calculations (Heat Load, Airflow & Energy Analysis), Equipment selection and verification, preparation of HVAC layouts, shop drawings and installation details. Taking lead in site HVAC services as-builts and assisting in HVAC project dossiers.

HVAC Project Tendering:

• Understand client specifications and requirement
• Understand local and applicable regulatory codes.
• Study/Conceptualise design
• Design calculations
• Ensure compliance with EHS Group guidelines/guidance notes and local regulations safety awareness / best working practice.
• Draft/Study HVAC PNID
• Equipment selection/verification
• Material take-off
• Request for quotation (RFQ) & review
• Preparation of qualification/deviation lists
• Consolidation of cost
• Optimization of cost
• Tender reviews
• Tender submissions

HVAC System Design Conceptualization :

• Understand client requirement
• Understand local and applicable regulatory codes.
• Ensure design compliance with EHS Group guidelines/guidance notes and local regulations safety awareness / best working practice.
• Draft system PNIDs
• Design calculations
• Equipment & Duct sizing
• Layout
• Draft system control logics
• Design review in respect to space limitations, system operations, maintenance and cost factor.

HVAC Calculations :

• Understand and able to operate Carrier HAP softwar
• Seek relevant information from different discipline (civil, architecture and electrical) for heat load calculation input.
• Generate Heat Load report for submission
• Perform manual duct static loss calculations.
• Seek equipment reference data for static loss calculations
• Generate duct static loss calculations report for submission
• Review and revise calculations as per design changes.

HVAC Layouts, Shop Drawings, Installation Details and As-built

• Proficient in AutoCAD software operation.
• Understand and apply design conceptualization into layout.
• Understand on-situ conditions and limitation.
• Perform interfacing checks with other disciplines.
• Perform site verification for layouts, shop drawings and installation details
• Perform progressive drawing updates as-built and verify against design documents.
• Compilation of as-built into project dossiers.
