Job description

Execute preventive and corrective maintenance for ACMV/HVAC systems to achieve uptime, energy efficiency, and safety/compliance targets. Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and support the Quick Response Team (QRT) for breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventive Maintenance (PM): Carry out scheduled PM for chillers/VRF/AHU/FCU/pumps/cooling towers/exhaust & ventilation systems per OEM and SOP/RA.
  • Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose faults (mechanical/electrical/controls), perform repairs, parts replacement, refrigerant handling, leak checks, vacuum & charging.
  • Testing & Commissioning: Verify system performance post-repair/PM; record readings (pressures/temperatures/amps/flows), optimize setpoints.
  • BMS/Controls: Interface with BMS where applicable; basic I/O checks, sensor calibration, alarm investigation.
  • Documentation: Complete service reports, checklists, photo records; propose corrective actions and parts; close work orders in CMMS on time.
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow WSH rules, PTW/LOTO, toolbox talks, RA/SSOW; ensure site housekeeping and environmental compliance.
  • Customer Interface: Explain findings and recommendations to clients; support quotations for repairs/upgrades/retrofits.
  • QRT/On-Call: Participate in duty roster for after-hours support and urgent call-outs.
Requirements
  • Nitec/Higher Nitec/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services (or equivalent).
  • 2–5 years in HVAC/ACMV service (junior and senior levels considered).
  • Strong hands-on with VRF, chilled-water systems, AHU/FCU, pumps, and ventilation.
  • Able to read schematics, P&IDs, wiring diagrams; use multimeter/manifold gauge/recovery & vacuum equipment.
  • Familiar with CMMS/mobile work orders; basic MS Office.
  • Safety-minded; WSQ certs (e.g., Work at Height, Confined Space, LOTO) an advantage.
