Job description

We are looking for an HR Lead to join our Global HR team, based in Singapore and overseeing our markets in JAPAC. This role is both strategic and hands‑on, partnering with business leaders to shape our people strategy locally while ensuring a high-quality, consistent employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle.

You will play a key role in helping our business navigate growth, organizational change, workforce planning, and people development. You’ll support leaders and teams through our core HR processes while keeping us aligned with global ways of working and compliant with local regulations. As part of a global HR community, you will collaborate with HR Business Partners, Employment Legal, Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development, Diversity & Inclusion, and other partners to deliver a world‑class people experience. This position will be on a 9-month contract.

What You'll Do
  • Partner with business leaders to build a positive, inclusive, high‑performance culture.
  • Translate business priorities into people activities for attraction, development, engagement, and retention.
  • Mentor and influence managers to build leadership capability and drive performance.
  • Use data and insights to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and recommend pragmatic solutions and align global strategies to local market realities.
  • Act a change leader, supporting teams through organisation changes and transformation efforts.
  • Partner with global teams and local leaders to help localise and implement initiatives to support manager capability, individual skill development and team efficiencies for an AI‑ready future.
  • Drive the full employee lifecycle, ensuring smooth onboarding through to off‑boarding and everything in between.
  • Support annual HR processes including talent reviews, performance calibrations, compensation cycles, engagement initiatives, and reorganisations.
  • Provide practical, hands‑on support for employee relations and policy matters, working closely with Employment Legal when needed.
  • Ensure local compliance with labour law requirements while balancing global standards and local nuance.
  • Review and suggest improvements to local processes to enhance scalability, efficiency and employee experience.
  • Handle all local documents and government paperwork required for the region together with the broader JAPAC HR team.
Who You Are
  • You have at least 7 years of dynamic HR experience in regional roles such as HR Lead, HR Manager, Senior HR Generalist, Employee Relations Manager, People Operations Lead or HRBP.
  • You have experience working in global or matrixed organisations; exposure to media or technology environments is preferred.
  • You have experience partnering with senior leaders and supporting leadership team initiatives.
  • You have hands‑on knowledge of employment practices and labour regulations in key JAPAC markets across Singapore, Australia, Jakarta, Bangkok and Korea and curiosity to learn more.
  • You are comfortable navigating change and ambiguity, while keeping teams aligned and supported.
  • You bring cultural agility and experience working across multiple JAPAC markets. You build trust quickly, communicate clearly, and approach challenges with a positive and proactive approach.
  • You understand how to balance global frameworks with local needs and can influence global and local partners! You can balance critical thinking with operational execution, rolling up your sleeves when needed.
  • You prioritize well, stay flexible in fast‑moving environments, and are resourceful in finding answers.
  • You are collaborative, inclusive, and open to diverse perspectives.
  • You are able to travel as required.
Where You'll Be
  • This role is based in our Singapore office.
  • We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in‑person meetings but it still allows for flexibility to work from home. We ask that you come to the office 2 to 3 times per week.
