A prominent recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking a Human Resource Executive to join their client's team in the shipping industry. The role involves managing HRIS data, overseeing onboarding and offboarding, ensuring compliance with immigration laws, processing payroll for multiple countries, and engaging in compensation and benefits projects. Ideal candidates should have a diploma in HR or Business Administration, at least two years of HR experience, and good knowledge of employment laws. This position offers 1 day of work-from-home weekly and additional benefits.
Our client is a leading Container Shipping Company that provides liner services with a fleet of own containers and an expansive network of offices & agencies offering shipping solutions.
Oversee Data Management: Manage and update employee data in the HRIS to ensure information is accurate and timely for payroll processing.
Onboarding and Offboarding: Handle processes for new hires and exiting employees.
Manage visa application processes: Ensure compliance with immigration regulations.
Compensation and Benefits: Engage in different C&B related projects and support in preparation of C&B data for analysis and reporting.
Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
Payroll Management: Process payroll for 170 employees across 7 countries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
Compliance and Standard Operating Procedures: Maintain, and update standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency in HR operations.
Vendor Management: Participate in the selection and evaluation of HR service vendors to ensure they meet the organization’s standards.
General/HR Administration: Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Minimum education: Diploma in Human Resources or Business Administration or a related field.
Experience: At least 2 years of relevant HR experience. Prior experience in the shipping industry would be an advantage.
Knowledge: Good knowledge in various countries’ Employment and statutory law.
Skills: Well‑versed in MS Office and MS display desirable soft skills and is a team player.
Working Hours: Mon to Fri, 9am-6pm (1 day wfh weekly for confirmed staff)
