Job summary

Schneider Electric in Singapore is seeking Hub Asia Transport Interns to support global logistics and transportation operations. You will gain hands-on experience with air and ocean shipments across 50+ countries, while learning how international supply chains operate within a global team.

You will assist in onboarding partners, SOP development, and deployment of Freight Management Systems, gaining exposure to data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or related field.
• Strong interest in manufacturing, supply chain, distribution and logistics operations.

Responsibilities

• Support air, ocean, trucking, and last-mile logistics services providers and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with onboarding new logistics partners and development of SOPs.
• Support Freight Management Systems and related platforms for end-to-end shipment visibility.
• Assist in deploying Freight Audit Payment solutions and validate costs against contracted rates.
• Support sustainability initiatives including CO₂ monitoring and decarbonization projects.
• Participate in RPA projects to improve operational efficiency.
• Assist in improving last-mile delivery processes and customer experience.
• Support lead time analysis, performance reporting, and cross-functional process improvements.
• Develop and maintain data visualization dashboards (e.g., Tableau) to analyze transportation performance.

Kick-start your career in global logistics and transportation with Schneider Electric's Hub Asia Transport Team. You'll gain hands-on experience supporting air and ocean shipments across more than 50 countries, working alongside experienced professionals while learning how international supply chains operate and deliver products around the world.

What will you do:

• Support the management and performance review of air, ocean, trucking, and last-mile logistics service providers, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with onboarding new logistics partners and the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Support the implementation of Freight Management Systems, including freight booking platforms, document repository systems, pre-alert systems, and end-to-end shipment visibility tools.
• Assist in the deployment of Freight Audit Payment solutions by validating outbound freight costs against contracted rate tables to ensure billing accuracy.
• Support sustainability initiatives, including CO₂ monitoring and transportation decarbonization projects.
• Participate in process automation (RPA) projects to improve operational efficiency.
• Assist in driving improvements to last-mile delivery processes and customer experience.
• Support transport lead time analysis, performance reporting, and end-to-end process improvement projects across Hub Asia.
• Develop and maintain data visualization dashboards (e.g., Tableau) to analyze transportation performance, monitor key metrics, and provide actionable business insights.

What qualifications will make you successful:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, and logistics operations; prior knowledge or exposure in these areas is advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
• Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
