Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative assistance to the HSEQ Manager in organising, coordinating, and tracking HSE-related training and educational initiatives.
  • Support the shipboard validation programme by reviewing and confirming the proper application of the safety management system.
  • Monitor the progress of HSE programmes (seminars, workshops, campaigns) and ensure all reports and documentation are accurately completed and filed.
  • Handle programmes related to safe work systems, reporting and investigating injuries/incidents, and conducting risk assessments, hazard identification, and hazard evaluations.
  • Prepare HSEQ reports by gathering data, analysing trends, maintaining statistical records, and submitting required documentation.
  • Maintain the HSE and training database, perform HSEQ data entry in SharePoint, manage all HSQE compliance records, and follow up on the timely closure of non-conformities, corrective actions, and crew drug/alcohol test outcomes.
  • Keep all HSEQ manuals, documents, records, and reference materials updated and properly organised.
  • Assist in arranging internal and external audits, inspections, and investigations, ensuring all certificates remain valid.
  • Provide support during HSEQ meetings, including preparing agendas and recording minutes.
  • Carry out any additional duties assigned.
Requirements
  • Diploma in marine engineering or a related discipline (preferably maritime or engineering fields).
