A leading crane and transport company in Singapore seeks an experienced HSE Manager to oversee safety compliance and lead HSE personnel. The ideal candidate must have a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, be MOM registered, and possess at least 5 years of relevant experience in the construction and petrochemical industry. This role involves ensuring monthly safety observations and conducting safety induction courses.
Direct reporting to Group HSE Manager.
Managing the Group HSE Management System certified to OHSAS 18001:2007.
Leading the HSE personnel in troubleshooting HSE issues which include TW Bukom (Shell Pulau Bukom) and TW Seraya (Shell Jurong Island).
Provide direction and leadership for the Group HSE personnel.
Leading the Group HSE personnel and departmental head in incident investigation and reporting.
Leading the Emergency Team in major accident recovery and case study.
Planning and conducting monthly HSE training and effectively using a range of WSH tools and processes to implement WSH programs and drive compliance.
Developed inspection/audit program.
Assisting in tender submission on HSE matters.
Advising subsidiary companies on all HSE matters.
Secretary of Group HSE Safety Committee and to prepare safety committee meeting minutes.
Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Update subsidiary companies on changes to statutory regulations and legal requirements.
Conduct safety induction courses for new employees and contractors.
Conduct inspection of the workshop and yard to identify sub-standard practice/ acts, equipment and potential hazards; reports such findings and forward recommendations to the Workshop Manager and respective Supervisor concerned.
Assist in the organization of Annual Safety Promotion and Campaign.
Ensure that the monthly safety observations are close in timely manner.
Ensure that all tools, equipment and machinery brought in by contractors meet all statutory legal requirements.
Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or any Engineering disciplines.
MOM Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer.
At least 5 years relevant experiences in Construction & Oil/petrochemical Industry.
Candidate should be dynamic, self-motivated, proactive and result oriented.
Effective communication skills including verbal presentation and technical writing skills.
Proficiency in MS Office applications, relevant safety and health legislations, Singapore Standards, Codes of Practices, and guidelines.
Knowledge in established and implementing safety & health management system.
