Job summary

SAM LAIN EQUIPMENT SERVICES PTE LTD is seeking a WSHO to lead site safety across construction projects in Singapore. The role requires MOM-registered WSHO status, 5 years of relevant experience, and the ability to coach staff on safety practices.

Working hours are 5.5 days, with potential for short-notice project assignments. Join a dynamic team focused on safety excellence and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction safety.
• Familiarity with WSH and ENV regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to CAG project sites and join with short notice.

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties of a WSHO per legislation and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with statutory acts, company safety rules and codes of practice.
• Provide coaching and guidance on workplace safety practices.
• Implement and oversee project-specific HSE management systems and programs.
• Support initiatives to achieve HSE-related awards and certifications.
• Conduct site safety audits, inspections and compliance checks.
• Identify gaps in WSH/Environmental systems and recommend improvements.
• Develop and implement the Safety Program and review WSHMS performance.
• Conduct safety meetings, briefings and stakeholder training.
• Liaise with project team and authorities on safety matters.
• Prepare and submit environmental control programs and safety reports.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Carryout the duties of a WSHO as outlined in legislation and regulations.
• Ensureall statutory acts, regulations, company safety rules, and codes ofpractice are implemented and complied with by all staff.
• Providecoaching and guidance to the workforce on workplace safety practices.
• Implementand oversee the project-specific HSE management system and programs inalignment with corporate procedures.
• Supportcompany and project initiatives to achieve HSE-related awards andcertifications.
• Performsite safety audits, inspections, & compliance checks.
• Identifyand address gaps in WSH/Environmental systems, procedures, andperformance, recommending improvements.
• Developand implement the Safety Program.
• Reviewand evaluate WSH Management System (WSHMS) and Environmental reports.
• Conductsafety meetings, briefings, and training for stakeholders.
• Liaiseclosely with project team to maintain a high level of safety, health andenvironmental standard.
• Liaisewith authorities on occupational safety, health, and environmentalmatters.
• AdviseProject Director/Manager on WSH issues and improvements.
• Maintainaccurate site environmental, health, and safety records and reports whileensuring timely submission.
• Reviewinternal and external risk assessments and risk management processes.
• Investigateworkplace incidents, recommend corrective and preventive actions, andfollowing up on implementation.
• Ensureall Permit-to-Work (PTW) supporting documents are valid and in place.
• Prepareand submit the Site Environmental Control Program before work commences.
• Organizeand coordinate tabletop exercises, Emergency Preparedness and ResponsePlan drills, and ensure the maintenance of emergency response equipment.
• Prepareand present detailed data analytics reports on WSH performance,conditions, and practices.
• Performany other ad hoc HSE-related duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma/Degreein Workplace Safety and Health or related discipline.
• MOM-registered(WSHO) 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
• Familiaritywith regulatory requirements related to WSH & ENV
• Min5 years working Experience with CAG projects is preferred.
• Abilityto work independently and as part of a team.
• Owntransport is preferred.
• Workinghours: 5.5 days work, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, Saturday 8am to 12noon
• Workinglocation:We deal with CAG Project info will be informed duringthe interview session or upon successful hiring
