Job Summary:
The HR Specialist is responsible for managing specific human resources functions to support company workforce management and development. This role needs to focus on areas such as recruitment, employee relations, training and development, compensation and benefits, and compliance with labour laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, including creating job postings, sourcing candidates, screening applications, arranging interviews, and performing background checks.
- Oversee the onboarding process: conduct orientations, explain company policies, and ensure a smooth integration into the organization.
- Build up the company talent pool by understanding specific needs and requirements.
- Develop and manage compensation and benefits programs, including health insurance and performance bonuses, ensuring competitiveness and legal compliance.
- Organize onboarding training and ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Conduct offboarding interviews and clearance procedures.
- Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures; ensure organization compliance with local labour laws and regulations.
- Administer performance review processes, provide feedback, and assist in creating performance improvement plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, attendance, and benefits enrollment.
- Generate HR reports on metrics such as turnover rates and recruitment effectiveness.
- Update employee handbooks and company policies.
- Monitor changes in employment law and advise management on necessary adjustments.
- Other ad‑hoc tasks assigned by supervisor.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, crucial for interacting with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with HR software such as QuickHR and payroll systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
- Ability to use computer technology to create labels, track inventory, and maintain records of storage.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience of a minimum of 2–5 years as an HR specialist or in a similar role.
- Experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, and performance management.
- Ability to align HR initiatives with company goals.
- Strong skills in managing employee relations, conflict resolution, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Good communication skills in English and Mandarin to work closely with Mandarin‑speaking employees and overseas vendors.
- Singapore citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR).
