Job summary

A fast-growing internet startup in Singapore is looking for an HR Generalist to manage all human resources functions. The role requires overseeing compliant HR operations, building HR systems from scratch, and implementing performance management frameworks. Ideal candidates have 3–8 years of experience in HR operations and a strong understanding of Singapore's employment regulations. This is a hands-on position in a dynamic startup environment.

Qualifications

  • Ability to independently manage daily HR operations while building systems and policies.
  • Interest and capability in designing organizational structures, job frameworks, and grading systems.

Job description

We are partnering with a fast-growing internet startup based in Singapore that is hiring an HR Generalist to take full ownership of its human resources function.

This role will oversee compliant and stable HR operations while building and scaling HR systems from the ground up, including organizational design, job and grading frameworks, performance management, and people policies, and is ideal for a hands-on, execution-driven HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end HR operations covering recruitment, employee lifecycle, payroll, CPF, IRAS, and daily HR matters.
  • Ensure full compliance with Singapore MOM regulations, Employment Act, contracts, handbooks, and work pass management.
  • Build and optimize organizational structure, job roles, job families, grading frameworks, and career progression paths.
  • Design and implement performance management systems (e.g. OKRs) and drive performance reviews and improvements.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine HR policies including promotions, compensation reviews, leave, and conduct.
  • Configure and optimize HR workflows and approvals on Lark (Feishu) to improve efficiency and standardization.
  • Manage or coordinate applications for Singapore government grants and ensure compliant usage where required.
  • Operate independently in a fast-growing startup environment, building HR systems while supporting business growth.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in HR, Business, Management, or a related field.
  • 3–8 years of HR experience with hands-on, end-to-end HR operations exposure.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore MOM regulations, Employment Act, CPF, payroll, and work pass processes.
  • Ability to independently manage daily HR operations while building systems and policies.
