This role offers a unique opportunity for an HR generalist looking to deepen their expertise in Compensation & Benefits (C&B) while supporting regional initiatives across Singapore and Malaysia. The role plays a key part in ensuring competitive, fair, and compliant reward practices, while providing exposure to strategic HR analytics and business partnering.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the planning and execution of the annual HR cycles, including budgeting, performance bonus, salary review, long-term incentive plans, and benefits harmonisation for Singapore and Malaysia.

  • Prepare and analyse HR reports and metrics to support decision-making and business planning.

  • Manage end-to-end C&B administration (excluding payroll processing), including:

    • Acting as the Benefits, Leaves and Travel & Reimbursement Administrator, ensuring compliance with local employment laws and company policies.

    • Providing guidance to employees on benefits-related matters.

    • Coordinating annual insurance renewals, preparing competitive proposals, and organising staff briefings with insurance partners.

    • Conducting salary benchmarking and market analysis to support internal equity and competitiveness.

    • Participate in salary and labour market surveys and generate ad-hoc reports on employment trends (e.g., salary expectation forecasts for the upcoming year).

    • Managing training registrations, grant submissions and claims.

    • Ensuring compensation practices align with internal equity standards and local legislation.

Secondary

  • Monitor and analyse market trends in benefits (medical, insurance, and flexible benefits) to propose forward-looking strategies.

  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners on career progression frameworks and talent development initiatives.

  • Partner with HRBPs to conduct pulse surveys and focus groups aimed at improving employee engagement and workplace culture.

  • Any other duties as assigned by the head of department that is part of HR business partnering.

WORKING EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

  • 2–4 years of HR experience, ideally in a generalist role with exposure to compensation cycle management (annual bonus, annual increment, budget exercises), HR operations, or analytics supporting different stakeholders in established companies with at least 500 headcounts.

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).

  • Strong command of PowerPoint, tech-savvy and resourceful especially when navigating HR systems.

  • Sound understanding of Singapore employment laws and HR practices.

  • Proficient in the English language, both verbal and written. The ability to speak a 2nd or 3rd language will be an advantage.

  • HR experience in Malaysia will be a huge advantage.

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
  • Discipline and trustworthiness when handling confidential information.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships at all levels of the organization with a good business aptitude.

  • Proven complex analytical skills.

  • Driven and a self-starter who enjoys learning and working in a fast-paced environment to develop structure and procedures from scratch for greater efficiency. Not be overwhelmed by tight timelines or complexity.

  • Resilient, curious, and ready to learn. Not be afraid of multiple systems.

  • Strong command of Excel, PowerPoint, tech-savvy and resourceful especially when navigating HR systems.

  • Organized and detail-oriented — you spot discrepancies before others do.
