Job summary

A leading petrochemical company in Singapore is seeking an experienced HR professional to manage payroll processing, oversee employee benefits, and ensure compliance with employment laws. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Human Resources or a related field and at least 4 years of relevant experience. Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive approach are essential for this role.

Qualifications

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing, including salary computation, CPF contributions, income tax, and government-paid claims.
  • Handle foreign work passes issues and tax clearance.
  • Collaborate with Finance on payroll reconciliations and audits.
  • Maintain accurate HR records, payroll data, employee files and reporting.
  • Draft, review, and update HR policies and procedures in line with legal requirements and best practices.
  • Manage and administer employee benefits such as insurance, medical, wellness, and leave entitlements.
  • Support performance management cycles and employee development initiatives.
  • Liaise with internal trainers and external vendors for scheduling and course administration/registration.
  • Plan and propose employee engagement activities that create a positive workplace experience.
  • Serve as HR partner on HR related matters, including providing guidance on HR policies, labor regulations and employee counseling services as and when required.
  • Serve as HR support in projects relating to improvements or enhancements of HR operations.
Requirements
  • Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • At least 4 years of relevant working experience. Prior experience in commodities trading industry would be an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive data with confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proactive, organized, and able to handle multiple priorities.
