Job summary

NEXBRIDGE Recruitment PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a data engineer to develop and maintain ETL pipelines for HR data ingested into ODIN, using SQL and Python to cleanse, standardise, transform and reconcile data.

You will work with AWS S3/Athena, data warehousing concepts and BI tools like Tableau to deliver reliable datasets and governance. The role requires independent work and collaboration with business users and technical teams.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in SQL and working proficiency in Python.
• Hands-on ETL and data pipeline development experience.
• Experience with data warehousing, data modelling and relational/file-based data.
• Experience transforming complex or legacy data into reliable datasets.
• Experience in data validation, reconciliation and data quality checks.
• AWS experience, particularly S3 and Athena, is preferred.
• Familiarity with CSV/Parquet, IAM and data partitioning advantageous.
• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and collaborate with business users and technical teams.
• Interest or experience in HR/workforce data advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines and file-based interfaces for HR data ingestion into ODIN.
• Develop SQL and Python logic to cleanse, standardise, transform and reconcile data.
• Work with existing data models, tables and datasets, including complex and legacy HR data.
• Support system enhancements, Change Requests and Service Requests through testing, validation and issue resolution.
• Implement automated data quality, validation and reconciliation checks and investigate anomalies.
• Monitor data pipelines, troubleshoot failures and improve pipeline reliability and performance.
• Develop and maintain AWS Athena tables, views and queries, and governed datasets for reporting.
• Translate business requirements into data mappings and transformation rules.
• Maintain technical documentation and support audit, access review and governance activities.
