Role and Contract

Who will you be working with? In this 12-month contract, the HR Generalist will work closely with a team of 60+ employees based in Singapore and South Korea, providing comprehensive support in HR and office facilities management, while ensuring a safe and compliant workplace through timely workplace communication and cross functional collaboration.

Impact

How will you make a difference? You will be the local point of contact and support the full spectrum of HR services, including recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, payroll and benefits administration, staff coordination, etc. You will work collaboratively with local teams and regional HR teams in Hong Kong & Australia to ensure HR procedures and activities align with organizational goals and comply with local legislation.

What will your typical day look like?

HR Support

  • Manage day-to-day HR services, including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, payroll and benefits administration, HRIS updates, training, staff engagement;
  • Act as local point of contact and manage correspondence with government authorities and vendors under the supervision of the site leader/HR;
  • Support interview coordination, onboarding and orientation for new hires;
  • Provide professional advice to employees related to HR inquiries and direct to the relevant stakeholder if necessary;
  • Maintain accurate employee information and update HRIS data as needed. Support ongoing data maintenance, oversight of data integrity and consistency in both local and global records;
  • Build collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.

Office facilities and workplace management

  • Control the inventory and cost of office supplies and equipment in line with business requirements;
  • Manage service providers and building management to provide facilities maintenance and repair services in a timely manner;
  • Ensure all service agreements are renewed on time and in compliance with company policies;
  • Oversee office health and safety by carrying out regular office inspections and improvement action plans to ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies;
  • Office facilities, instruments, and asset control / office safety and security management;
  • Liaise with internal departments and external vendors as required;
  • Handle workplace communication and distribution of daily mail and couriers in the office.
What do we want to know about you?
  • University graduate in Human Resources Management or related disciplines;
  • 2-3 years of experience in HR & Administration. Experience in office administration is preferred;
  • Familiar with local employment and EHS regulations;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks under pressure and tight deadlines and manage them effectively and accurately within broad guidelines;
  • Meticulous, with attention to detail and well organized;
  • Ability to convey messages effectively to different internal and external stakeholders through written and verbal communications;
  • Proactive and passionate about delivering good quality service with a flexible can-do attitude;
  • Discretion in managing sensitive employee and business information.
