Looking for experienced Operations Manager for our new nursing home operating in 2026. You may be required to commence work at our existing branch at Macpherson before the new facilities is ready.
The incumbent shall assist the General Manager in pre‑ops planning for the new branch and leading the Operations Department to ensure smooth daily operation of the nursing home, including pre‑ops planning for the new branch.
This includes ensuring that the Nursing Home is in compliance with all regulatory, licensing, safety, and environmental requirements; as well as implementing measures to ensure that the physical integrity of the building structure, its appearance, and optimal functions meet the necessary standards.
- Manage and oversee the development of the nursing home in collaboration with health authorities and agencies.
- Ensure smooth delivery of the facilities, laundry, housekeeping, security, fire safety, and transportation services in the nursing home.
- Oversee Workplace Safety functions including pandemic preparedness, work with Fire Safety Manager in conducting fire drill etc.
- Ensure that adequate measures are taken to maintain and upkeep the building and environment so as to protect the health and safety of all residents, staff and visitors in the nursing home.
- Assess and submit both ongoing and emergent requests for the maintenance of environmental services and equipment.
- Engage and ensure service delivery of contracted vendors and services providers to meet business and operational requirements.
- Work with in‑house kitchen leader in managing daily kitchen operations.
- Work with nursing leaders to ensure the logistical needs are met timely and efficiently.
- Develop and implement operations strategy for the nursing home, including but not limited to efficiency and productivity‑related projects.
- Maintain and upkeep operational SOP, conduct regular audits.
- Plan, communicate and implement policies, and ensure procedures meet operational excellence.
- Manage the streamlining of cross‑department workflows and processes to maintain operational excellence.
- Manage and oversee the department's budgets and expenditures.
- Timely reporting and analysis of KPIs.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma / Degree in Business/Building/Facilities Management/Engineering
- At least 2 years of relevant experience
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Practical knowledge of Nursing Home’s operations would be an advantage
- Good coordination, interpersonal and people management skills
- Good communication skills
